Compliance status
Schutznetze24 GmbH strives to make the website safetynet365.com accessible in accordance with the German Accessibility Act (BFSG).
This website is partially compliant with the requirements of the German Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG).
We base our implementation on the following standards: WCAG 2.1 Level AA, EN 301 549 V3.2.1.
Non-accessible Content for Users of Assistive Technologies
Despite our efforts, the following content cannot be made fully accessible for the following reasons:
- JavaScript-dependent functionality: JavaScript-dependent functionality impairs accessibility for users of assistive technologies.
Disproportionate Burden
We are unable to meet accessibility requirements for the following content due to disproportionate burden:
Affected content:
JavaScript-dependent functionality in the area of product configuration impairs accessibility for users of assistive technologies.
Justification:
The complete barrier-free design of our online configurator – in particular the interactive, JavaScript-based product configuration – represents a disproportionate burden within the meaning of Section 12 (3) of the German Accessibility Act (BFSG). This assessment is based on the following reasons:
- Technical disproportionateness
The product configuration is based on complex, dynamic JavaScript applications that visually display individually combinable products in real time, control dependent selection options, price calculations and preview graphics, and evaluate a variety of technical check rules in the background.
Fully implementing these features in an accessible way would need a lot of new development and major system changes, as there's no standard accessible solution or API for this use case. The current tech doesn't let us provide an accessible alternative without messing with the basic functionality or cost-effectiveness of the configurator. - Disproportionate economic burden
Implementing a completely accessible product configuration would require a complete redesign of the entire system. This investment would far exceed the economically viable scope for our company. This is particularly true given that the configurator only affects part of the product range and all products are also offered in an accessible manner (e.g. via telephone and written advice or PDF data sheets). - Existing low-barrier alternatives
Nevertheless, we strive to ensure alternative barrier-free use. This includes providing a contact option for individual configuration via email or telephone, making configuration examples available in static form (e.g. as PDF files) and gradually revising accompanying content in terms of accessibility (texts, contrasts, focus control).
